The road tunnel was driven in cooperation with the Croatian company Konstruktor from Split. Classic mining wheel mechanisms were used for work. The tunnel was driven by the Austrian tunnelling method in a combination of steel bolts, mesh and sprayed concrete. The total tunnel length is 1 490 m.

 

Interestingly, the tunnel was driven from two sides. The French company Spie Batignolles also collaborated on this project.
